Migration Overview & Timeline
Last updated
The Pole Yards is moving off Ja-Nice Media's shared infrastructure (cPanel and the Koolify server) onto its own stack, owned by the josh@poleyard.co.za Google account. Once the migration is done, TPY controls every account, server and bill.
Target stack
- Hostinger KVM 4 — the new VPS, running Dokploy as the deployment platform.
- Supabase (self-hosted on the KVM) — database, auth and the public interface to storage.
- iDrive — off-site storage buckets for Koolify and Chatwoot.
- Vercel — frontend hosting alongside Dokploy.
See Infrastructure & Services for the details of each piece.
Key dates
| When | What happens |
|---|---|
| Wed 22 or Fri 24 July 2026 (after hours) | Switchover to the new Supabase on the KVM. |
| July 2026 | First month's billing is covered by Ja-Nice Media. |
| 31 July 2026 | Ja-Nice Media's cards are removed from all accounts — billing moves to the TPY virtual credit card. |
Ground rules
- Everything must be up to standard before switchover: keys, env files, backups — no loose ends.
- Document everything — in this wiki and in the handover tab.
- Switchover happens after hours only.
Where things stand
Hostinger, the KVM, iDrive and the Vercel account are already set up. The full list of what's done and what's still open lives in the Task Checklist.
